One of the most renowned Universities in India, Aligarh Muslim University offers over two hundred and fifty courses to Indian and foreign students. It was given the recognition of a full-fledged university years after its inception in the year 1920. Aligarh Muslim University conducts an all India entrance examination every year for the admission of students to the B.Tech and B.Arch courses. Eligibility for AMU Engineering Entrance Exam:
Students willing to join B.Tech and B.Arch programs should have passed the senior secondary examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
Candidates with a diploma in Engineering may also apply for admission.
Pattern of Test

Admission to Aligarh Muslim University depends on the performance of the students in the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Engineering Entrance exam. Candidates willing to take admission to the B.Tech course will have to sit for the paper I that deals with objective type questions on Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.



Paper I and paper II are both compulsory for the candidates seeking admission to the B.Arch Course. Paper II is specially designed for testing the aptitude of the candidate in architecture.

AMU Engineering Entrance Exam Procedure
Applicants may send a demand draft along with a requisition letter to the Assistant Controller (Admissions), Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, 202 002
The draft of Rs.100 payable at State Bank of India should be drawn in favour of "the Finance Officer, AMU, Aligarh.
The candidates should also send an envelope (self-addressed) along with a postage (Rs.90) to the above mentioned office address.
The duly filled in application form and draft should be sent to the Admission Section, Office of the Controller of Examination and admissions, AMU, Aligarh.
The drafts to be prepared for B.Tech and B.Arch courses are Rs.250 and Rs.400 respectively.
The name of the course should be properly written on the request letter.
